The objects of this Society will be the acquisition of knowledge of the history and genealogy of Northeast Louisiana, the promotion of interest in the preservation of public records (local, school, church, parish, and state), the collection and publication of cemetery and Bible records, the encouragement of research in history and genealogy, and appropriate programs to raise awareness of our Society as well as awareness of Northeast Louisiana genealogy and history.

Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month in the Ouachita Parish Public Library located on Stubbs and North Eighteenth streets in Monroe, Louisiana. The time is 2:30 p.m.
Membership
The membership of the Society will be open to men and women who have a genuine and sustained interest in the objects of our Society. Dues of the Society are $20 regular membership, $25 family membership, $15 senior membership, $20 senior family membership, and $15 student membership. Dues are renewable and payable each year in August.
